She brought us the confidence required to live life like the main character. Bright sunrises, golden sunsets, our favorite linen looks, sunkissed skin, and plenty of nights out; Hot girl summer, we will miss you.
Now, daylight seems to be running away from us, nights are getting colder, and pumpkin-flavored beverages are everywhere. You might be questioning what to do with all your leftover energy from last season.
But when Megan Thee Stallion coined the phrase in 2019, she said being a hot girl means living your best life, unapologetically. And we’ve got a few ideas for how you can do just that this fall.
Don’t run inside just yet
Whether you’re into outdoor dining, the beach, barbecues, or parks, being outside is pretty much the best thing about summer. But there’s no need to run inside just yet! This is a perfect time to add a layer or two to your outfit and enjoy the autumn air. Consider taking a hike, going apple picking, visiting a vineyard, or supporting your local farmers market. Winter will give you plenty of time indoors, so for now, stay outside.
Feel your best
Talking about adding a layer or two, it’s time to cozy up. These not-too-hot and not-too-cold temperatures make a comfy pair of joggers and a light fleece sweatshirt the perfect match. You can feel your best when your clothes feel the best. So, go ahead. Show off your favorite super soft and cozy loungewear set on your morning stroll for coffee, at the movie theater, at your best friend’s game night, or of course, at home.
Tackle your goals
Autumn marks the start of the end...of the year. This is a great time to reflect on what your goals were back in January, where you stand, and what your new goals could be. Maybe you’ve been wanting to revamp your living room, give your bedroom a little T.L.C., master a recipe, learn yoga, ask for that promotion, or reconnect with an old friend. Accomplishing your goals will give you a boost of energy and a ton of confidence. And as they say, there’s no better time than now!
Self-care a little extra
Changes in the weather can bring about changes in our diet, sleep, and overall mood. Stay ahead of it by prioritizing yourself a little extra this season. Don’t forget, you’re the main character. Getting 6 to 8 hours of sleep, staying hydrated, getting active, and doing the things you love to do are all ways you can build self-care right into your day-to-day routine. The best way to sustain the hot girl energy that carried you through the summer is to feel your best this fall.
